yesDomains Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines the rules and guidelines for using services provided by yesDomains (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By using our services, you (“Customer”, “you”, “your”) agree to comply with this AUP.
This AUP is designed to protect our customers, services, and infrastructure, and to ensure a safe, lawful, and reliable hosting environment.
1. Scope of Services Covered
This AUP applies to all services offered by yesDomains, including:
- Shared Hosting (cPanel & Free Hosting)
- Virtual Private Servers (VPS)
- Cloud Collaboration Accounts
- Managed WordPress Hosting
- Domain Names with Free DNS and Pro DNS
2. General Prohibited Activities
You may not use yesDomains services to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Engage in fraud, identity theft, phishing, or misrepresentation.
- Distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, or spyware.
- Engage in or facilitate illegal or unauthorized access to systems or data (“hacking”).
- Conduct or promote illegal activities, including selling counterfeit goods or pirated software.
- Promote hate speech, violence, or discrimination against any individual or group.
- Abuse or harass other individuals through spam, threats, or stalking.
3. Service-Specific Use Restrictions
3.1 Shared Hosting (cPanel & Free Hosting)
You may not:
- Use shared hosting accounts for resource-intensive tasks (e.g., mining cryptocurrencies, running public proxies, persistent daemons).
- Use excessive CPU, memory, or disk space that adversely affects other users.
- Run unattended scripts or bots.
- Store or host illegal files, adult content, warez, or cracked software.
- Use free hosting accounts to host commercial websites, unless explicitly allowed.
3.2 VPS Hosting
- Customers are responsible for securing and maintaining their VPS environments.
- Open SMTP relays or mass mailing from unmanaged VPS instances are strictly prohibited.
- yesDomains reserves the right to suspend unmanaged VPS servers without notice if they are found participating in attacks or hosting malicious content.
3.3 Cloud Collaboration Accounts
- Must not be used to store or transmit sensitive personal data unless proper security measures are in place.
- Use must be in accordance with applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Reselling or subleasing Cloud Collaboration accounts is prohibited unless explicitly authorized.
3.4 WordPress Hosting
- Plugins and themes must be kept updated and obtained from trusted sources.
- Sites must not contain SEO spam, malware, or malicious redirects.
- yesDomains reserves the right to scan WordPress accounts for security vulnerabilities and remove infected files to protect infrastructure.
3.5 Domain Names (Free DNS and Pro DNS)
- Free DNS accounts are limited in features and must not be used for high-volume DNS query traffic.
- Pro DNS users must maintain accurate WHOIS contact information.
- Domains may not be used for:
- Fast flux DNS hosting
- Botnet command-and-control (C2) operations
- DNS tunneling or abuse of DNS infrastructure
- Hosting phishing sites or fake landing pages
4. Email and Spam Policy
All customers must adhere to the following:
- No sending of unsolicited bulk email (spam), including via purchased or harvested mailing lists.
- Emails sent must include a clear unsubscribe mechanism.
- The sending domain must have appropriate SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records configured.
- Abuse complaints must be responded to within 24 hours.
Violations may result in temporary suspension or permanent termination.
5. Security and Abuse Response
- You are responsible for keeping your software, plugins, themes, and applications updated and secure.
- yesDomains reserves the right to investigate any security incident, misuse, or abuse reported by third parties or detected internally.
- yesDomains may suspend access to affected services during investigations to prevent further harm.
6. Resource Usage Limits
To ensure fair usage:
- Shared hosting accounts may not exceed allotted bandwidth, CPU, or disk usage for prolonged periods.
- VPS and Cloud accounts must not abuse I/O or network interfaces.
- yesDomains may throttle or suspend services exceeding fair use thresholds.
7. Enforcement and Reporting Violations
- Violations of this AUP may result in service suspension, termination, or legal action without notice.
- yesDomains reserves the right to remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP.
- Repeat violations will result in permanent bans from yesDomains services.
